STEM education integrates concepts from the subjects science, technology, engineering and maths; which are traditionally and conventionally taught as separate subjects in separate classes. The STEM games encourage the practical application of the knowledge students gain from their regular studies to real-life situations. Edufy’s STEM games are based around finding solutions to real-world problems with an emphasis on project-based learning.

This is a unique opportunity for your child to combine their creativity and knowledge to solve present-day issues. STEM education exists for the sole purpose of creating future leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs and academics. The unique aspect of this course stems from its inspiration, each week and activity is designed to solve a real word issue. These were selected to correlate with the United Nation, Sustainable Development Goals. Each week attempts to respond to the issues arisen by this agenda through finding practical solutions through science, technology, engineering and maths.

Why we do it

“In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations have become increasingly important as we face the benefits and challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past.” (National Science Foundation)

The significance of STEM lays in the fact that it disseminates through every aspect of our lives, making science, technology and engineering are the forefront of our future. Everything from the economy, to health and environmental is in some way, shape or form, connected to these intrinsic fields.  Providing students with the opportunity to explore STEM would allow them to develop an embedded passion for related fields, and help shatter the glass ceiling for women and minorities. Thus, STEM education puts students on a path to benefit themselves on an individual scale by giving them a chance to pursue prosperous career paths, whilst helping eradicate some of the biggest issues to our global population.

Through mastering these advance skills this course would allow students to develop academic, social and emotional intelligence that would compliment a range of careers and avenues of employment. It provides students with the opportunity to become successful writers, compelling scientists, effective doctors, and accomplished engineers and mathematicians with the ability to transform our world.

How we do it

With techniques and exercises designed to enhance their confidence and unlock their creative potential, students will be encouraged to find creative solutions to the issues that threaten our environment.

Our aim is simple, to champion new visions and cultivate  a nurturing environment to inspire the next generation. We achieve  this through our unique approach to learning that is passionately dedicated around implementing new methods, tools and strategies that harness creative potential. Whilst instilling values of environmental consciousness, we aim to guide students to build a concrete academic foundation and provide them with the means to apply this is a global context.

Each lesson has been designed by education experts and subject specialists, to provide students with a broad range of problem solving skills and enhance their interpersonal developmental . Organised and methodical expression and delivery of ideas are matured through innovative tasks that teach students how to build a comprehensive sense of adaptability . To intensify the impact we have on students, lessons are kept intimate and interactive to embed the core skills needed to tackle and internalise how imperative these global issues are on a macro and micro scale.
